Our Coaching Relationship
An effective coaching session gets to the heart of what matters. It is a focused, concentrated conversation designed to support you in clarifying choices and making desired changes in your life. Our coaching relationship is a place where you can hit the pause button, breathe, experiment, and strategize without limitation. Here, failure is acknowledged as a means for learning, there are no absolutes, and few rules.
Some circumstances my clients bring to coaching:
Areas we might explore together:
Life Purpose and Fulfillment
What is it to you to live a life of fulfillment and no regrets? What is possible for you when you are true to your most authentic self? One of my core beliefs is that the most important relationship we have is the one we have with self. A wise teacher of mine at the Pennsylvania Gestalt Center frequently says, "In all of your relationships, show up already loved." Meaning, it is important to first understand, appreciate, and love oneself in order to have fulfilling relationships and effectively love others.
The Healthiest You
I thoroughly enjoy coaching individuals who are seeking greater health, more energy and vitality, and a higher life quality in general. I am passionate about helping others transform their lives through a natural, back-to-basics approach to food and a "no-chemical, no-synthetic" approach to wellness.
Natural Living
Another area I thoroughly enjoy coaching around is helping people become more aware of their environmental impact and creating strategies for more natural (or 'greener') living. More natural living often also means healthier living since a part of that is reducing your use of (and exposure to) toxins and chemicals.
What is a sherpa?
A sherpa, when written uncapitalized, generally means "guide." (When capitalized, Sherpa refers to the ethnic group residing in the most mountainous region of Nepal. Sherpas are world renowned for their hardiness, guidance, and expertise on mountaineering expeditions up the high peaks of the Himalaya Mountains). In my work as Teambuilder, Coach, and Facilitator, I use the metaphor of myself as sherpa, to mean I serve my clients by guiding them to a higher level and helping them reach heights they would otherwise not have reached on their own. The metaphor continues for me as I share some personal beliefs and values with the Sherpa people: humility, perseverance, importance of belonging to and contributing to one's community, to name a few.
As a sherpa, the driving purpose behind my coaching is this: to come alongside and guide individuals as they move towards their highest potential and the fullest life experience possible.
